MR FOWODE PARTICIPATES IN UGANDA’S LARGEST YOUTH FESTIVAL 2011!

In a bid to inspire youth visibility and as part of its efforts to celebrate the UN proclaimed International Year of Youth 12 August 2010 -11 August 2011, Open Space Centre (Open Space) - a non-partisan, non profit, independent organization that provides a platform for young people particularly in higher institutions of learning to call for positive change in their communities through tolerant and non-violent means, organized and hosted the inaugural YOUTHFEST ‘11 – Uganda’s largest youth festival from 22nd to 23rd July 2011 at Kololo Airstrip and as Mr. FOWODE i am so humbled to have been part of this history.

The YOUTHFEST offered a platform for the youth to engage, connect, learn and develop themselves. The two days event featured Art and culture Festival, Music Festival and Youth Brand Festival. In order to capture the youth’s attention; there were over 100 events of different unique and exciting lifestyle activities covering various aspects of life, interests, knowledge and backgrounds relevant to young people.
As a matter of fact, the festival was a highly targeted and timely event that matched the needs and ambitions of Uganda's young generation. As Mr. FOWODE, having been in partnership with the organizers, it’s of great pleasure and I feel honored to have been part of the history.
